Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: This outstanding example of the classic Italian Coratina variety has been harvested from Australia from one the most decorated olive oil producers! This year’s harvest of this bold varietal is complex and very fruity. It presents the palate with underlying notes of nutmeg, sweet banana, and various baking spices. On the finish you may sense notes of heat reminiscent of Szechuan peppercorns. It is moderately bitter, very pungent, and has a pleasant warm finish. Bold and Tuscan in style, this well-made Coratina is a durable and healthy choice that is ideal for cooking and consuming raw.
