Description: This season's harvest of the Picual is a perfect example of Spain's most popular olive variety. A visually stunning example of an Early Harvest Picual crafted by one of the most decorated producers in the world, this robust intensity olive oil is sweet and fruit forward with notes of peach, tomato leaf, and artichoke in the center. It is intensely aromatic and vibrant green! On the palate, it is pleasantly astringent with a hint of bitterness and lingering pepper sensation. High fruitiness scores. The Picual is the most commonly planted olive variety in both hemispheres, and is the most widely cultivated variety in Spain. It has proven successful in many regions outside of Spain as well.
Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: This season's Picual is sweet, intensely aromatic and fruity with notes of apricot, peach and melon. It is reminiscent of tropical fruit and has a moderate amount of tomato leaf. It is a very well-balanced oil, with a high fruitiness score & complexity. Great over any fresh cheese variety, vegetables, seafoods, and salads. A delightful condiment and finishing oil to use virtually anywhere!
