Mission - Limited Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Harvest: 2023
Country / Region: USA / California
Intensity: Robust
Description: The Mission olive was developed by the Missions in the late 18th century in California, and is now almost exclusively found in California. Over the years it has earned a loyal following. This small batch California Mission was harvested from groves in Yolo County. The Mission Olive is used for both oil production and for table olives. We are excited to bring to you a limited harvest production of this year's crush of the Mission varietal. This is one of our highest phenolic olive oils from this season’s North Hemisphere harvest. High Oleacein (antioxidant) content of 181 ppm.
Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: This harvest of the Mission cultivar has produced a balanced and full flavoured oil. On the palate, it displays floral characteristics and notes of green almond, herb and matcha with ample bitterness and astringency. Serve with big, full-flavoured dishes, where you want the olive oil to take center stage.
