Castile Bar Soap - 100% Olive Oil
Description: This is a true Castile bar because it is made exclusively of olive oil and no other oil. Our Castile Bar Soap (100% olive oil soap) is made exclusively with certified vegan and cruelty-free ingredients and packaged in a fully biodegradable paperboard box. 100% Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil lends a rich and creamy lather that will leave your skin super soft and moisturized.
Castile soap is typically made up of 60-98% pure olive oil and 2-40% pure laurel oil. The soap that has a high amount of laurel oil in it also increases its overall value and makes it more costly to produce. Castile soap contains no artificial colourings, no artificial fragrances, parabens, foaming agents, plus a bonus of no animal fat, which makes it vegan-friendly!
Benefits of Castile Soap: Castile soap has so many good things about it. First, it's completely derived from plants and it's cruelty-free. It's an entirely natural, super affordable soap alternative that lasts for a long time. Plus, castile soap is also 100% biodegradable, gentle on the environment and non-toxic. It's also hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin as it acts as a gentle cleanser. It's also scent-free so it's welcoming to pure essential oils which can refresh you with citrus oils, calm you with lavender oils, reduce inflammation and irritation with chamomile and aloe vera, or transport you to a beach with the sweet smell of coconut oil. It all comes down to what you want to achieve when you use Castile soap.
Benefits of Castile Soap: Castile soap differs from regular soap because its simple ingredients make it a multi-purpose cleaner from washing your face to washing dishes or as hand soap. The solid bar of soap is perfect for travelling, while the liquid formulation is ideal for cleaning the house top to bottom. Note: pure castile soap needs to be diluted with water as it can be harsh because it's a concentrated formula, the exact ratio just depends on what you're planning to clean. The bar of pure Castile soap is a little more user-friendly and is perfect for personal hygiene and skincare, such as a face wash, body wash, shaving cream, or even shampoo, all of which are typically accomplished with water, perfect for diluting the concentrated castile soap.
How to Use Castile Soap: There are a variety of ways to use castile soap in your daily life, including a hand or body wash by adding 1 part soap and 3 parts water into a dispenser. It's even useful against most viruses, even better than disinfectants containing alcohol because the soap can dissolve the fatty membrane of the virus in question. What's more, it's even safe to use on babies! As a household cleaning product, you can use Castile soap in a variety of ways, such as:
- For a multi-surface cleaner, mix 1/4 cup soap with one-quart water.
- For a dish detergent, use one part castile soap to 10 parts water.
- For a floor cleaner, mix 1/2 cup soap with three gallons of water.
- For a fruit and veggie wash, add one dash of soap to a bowl of water.
- For a laundry detergent, add 1/3 to 1/2 cup soap per load, and add 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle (more on why in a minute).
- For an insect-repellent for plants, mix one tablespoon of soap with one-quart water.
- For a menstrual cup or makeup brush cleanser, mix 1 part soap and 3 parts water.
- For a diaper wipe solution, add a few drops of soap to a squirt bottle of water.
