Description: Aged for over 20 years, this product is made exclusively of cooked grape must aged for many years in wooden barrels, where it concentrates naturally and gets thicker and more aromatic from year to year. Every year it is transferred into a different wooden barrel to acquire the various aromas of oak, chestnut, mulberry, cherry, ash, and juniper,. The Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia DOP - Denominazione di Origine Protetta” in Italian, or PDO “Protected Designation of Origin", can only be bottled in the specially shaped 100ml glass jar whose shape is that of an "inverted tulip", which is then numbered and sealed with the DOP mark by the Consortium (The Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia PDO). It is a highly regulated process to assure the end user of the product's authenticity.
