Pressed in only a few short hours after being harvested, this Early Harvest olive oil from Sicily captures all the flavours of the Nocellara varietal and the essence of southern Italy.
Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: This year’s harvest of the Nocellara is complex with unique savoury and sweet fruit notes and a pleasant creamy mouth feel. A lingering pepperiness builds in the back of the throat followed by delayed astringency signifying the healthy Oleocanthal content present in fresh oil, although this production contains little to no bitterness making it a very well-balanced olive oil. True to its signature flavour profile, this year's harvest displays savoury and sweet fruit notes of green apple/apple peel, sweet berry, stone fruit and subtle confectionary flavours with delayed peppery sensations and a lingering spicy mouth feel. Great with warm dishes, legumes, soups and meats!
