Manzanillo Reserve High Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Harvest: 2023
Country / Region: Spain
Intensity: Robust
Description: A very popular Spanish varietal commonly found in and around Seville, Andalucia, is a medium sized olive that produces an exceptional oil. Literally, it translates to "little apple" due to this olive's apple-like shape, it has a high flesh to pit ratio and its pit can easily be removed. For this reason it is often desired to be used as a stuffed olive. Our current harvest of this Spanish Manzanillo produces a strong finish with lingering pungency and astringency. A great olive oil that works well with savoury dishes that are well-seasoned, roasts, and grilled meats.. A rare, and extremely limited Spanish harvest!
Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: The current harvest of this Manzanillo is sure to impress. It displays notes of creamy almond, green tea and bitter greens with slight confectionary and tropical fruit characteristics on the nose. The finish is powerful with lingering pungency and astringency. A great olive oil that works well with savoury dishes that are well-seasoned, roasts, and grilled meats.
