No Baste Turkey Rub

Description: Created by Chef Gail McCully (aka the Spice Mistress) to meet the current trend towards healthier eating, this seasoning blend is designed to not only good for you, but quick and easy to use too. On top of all of that (and of the most paramount concern), they had to be delicious. The task: minimize sodium intake, cut out the calories, and make it easy to use! GLUTEN FREE.

No basting required.
For a 20 lb bird, mix entire package of rub with 3/4 to 1 cup of olive oil. Rub on turkey and roast as usual (again, do not baste). For a small bird (10 to 12 lbs), divide the recipe above in half.

Serving Suggestion: The ‘perfect bird’ every time with no basting required! You will be the star of your next holiday meal and it’s so easy. A golden brown bird, tender and juicy, accompanied by the most sumptuous gravy imaginable. Try adding some to your stuffing or dressing too! Additional suggestions: substitute white wine, apple or orange juice for a portion of the oil. Add some of the dry rub when you are preparing your stuffing or dressing. When preparing soup, use as a substitute for bouillon cubes.
