Manzanillo Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Harvest: 2022
Country / Region: Chile
Intensity: Robust
Description: A very popular Spanish varietal commonly found in and around Seville, Andalucia, is a medium sized olive that produces an exceptional oil. Literally it translates to "little apple" due to this olive's apple-like shape, it has a high flesh to pit ratio and its pit can easily be removed. For this reason it is often desired to be used as a stuffed olive. Our current harvest of this Spanish Manzanillo is harvested in Chile and is well balanced with some desirable bitterness and lingering pungency. A rare, and extremely limited Chilean harvest!
Tasting Profile / Serving Suggestions: The current harvest if this Manzanillo is a fruit powerhouse. It displays notes of juicy green pear with a spicy arugula finish. It presents the palate with abundant pungency and a lingering pepperiness. A great olive oil that works well with savoury dishes that are well-seasoned, with roasted meats and vegetables, and with grilled meats.
